Removing paint from aluminum cans
Author:Aluminum Sheeting for Trailers_Aluminum Trailer Siding Sheets_Mingsheng Aluminum Update time:2025-01-25 15:50:49There are two main process routes for paint removal:
1. Heat the raw materials to a safe temperature and keep them warm for a long time.
2. The step-by-step temperature rise path approaches the melting point of the material and the insulation time is shorter.
The first process generally uses a flat-bottomed conveyor to deliver the crushed and separated fragments to the furnace. The thickness of the fragments is about 200 mm, the furnace temperature is maintained at about 520 degrees, and the furnace gas is a mixture of air and fuel gas in an appropriate proportion. Under such conditions, paint removal relies partly on combustion and partly on high-temperature pyrolysis to remove the spray on the surface of the material.
The second process uses a rotary kiln with a complex system that allows air to circulate from different inlets. The temperature inside the furnace is close to 615 degrees, which is very close to the melting point of 5 series aluminum-magnesium alloys.
