Roller profile for cold rolling of aluminum alloy
Author:Aluminum Sheeting for Trailers_Aluminum Trailer Siding Sheets_Mingsheng Aluminum Update time:2025-01-30 01:34:01Cold rolling refers to a rolling production method below the crystallization temperature .
Due to the low temperature of cold rolling, dynamic recrystallization will not occur during the rolling process, and the temperature of the aluminum plate can only rise to the recovery temperature, so the work hardening rate is large.
The advantages of cold rolling are that the aluminum plate and aluminum coil have high dimensional accuracy and good surface quality, and the structure and performance of the aluminum plate and aluminum coil are more uniform. With heat treatment, products in different states can be obtained, and thin aluminum plates and thin aluminum coils that cannot be rolled out by hot rolling can be rolled. The disadvantages of cold rolling are that the deformation energy consumption is large and the pass processing rate is small.
The roll shape of cold rolling changes due to the influence of pressure and deformation heat. The roll shape that bends due to the rolling force is called pressure roll shape. The roll shape
that produces uneven expansion due to uneven heating, that is, the roll shape in which the middle part expands more than the edge part, is called temperature roll shape.
In order to compensate for the roll shape changes caused by pressure and temperature, the roll shape must be ground into a certain curvature in advance, which is generally called the roll shape of the roll.
For cold rolling mills the pressure roll shape is the main one, so the curvature of the roll shape of cold rolling mills is usually selected as convexity. The size of the convexity is related to many factors, such as the rolling reduction, the yield strength and width of the rolled piece, the heating conditions of the rolls, the materials of the rolling mill and the rolls, the tension during rolling, the performance of the lubricant, etc.
The rolls should be ground on a special roll grinder. The purpose of grinding is to remove the defects such as depressions, bruises, and scratches on the roll surface to obtain the required roll shape and surface roughness. The maximum convexity of the roll after grinding should be at the center point of the rolling length, and gradually and smoothly transition to the two sides symmetrically.
